Kat is a visual representation of my personality and identity, so they are self-aware and interact with the characters in a kind of in-between space. This is the “self-insert” that I portray on these blogs and my interactions with characters breaking the fourth wall.
It’s essentially me if I could physically shapeshift and traverse multi-dimensional planes.

Haine Naruto / Boruto
They/Them | Shinobi Drop Out, Complicated Past

I've been inserting myself into Naruto plotlines since 2005 or 2006, so this one is kind of all over the place. I'm still playing around with names, but I do know their history. They moved around a lot, they were used by their family, and they eventually ran away. They were really close friends with Choji Akimichi and Shikamaru Nara. They ended up developing feelings for Shikamaru that they never expressed before moving again and that's where it stayed for a little while.
More recently, I've been interested in developing the character and having them reunite with their old friends, connect with new ones and overcome some personal emotional hurdles along the way.
(Including accidentally turning into a monster when they're emotionally distressed, oops)

Karma My Hero Academia
They/Them | American Empathy Hero

Karma also needs a not-Hero name, but we'll work on that later.
There's a brief introduction to them starting to work at UA over on the Ask A Hero blog I made a few years ago. There's also some general information about them that I think covers more than I can here. But they have feelings for Shota Aizawa and Hizashi Yamada, as well as a strong admiration towards Yagi Toshinori, Hirooki Anakuro and Taishiro Toyomitsu. They spend most of their time teaching and doing hero work, and another good portion spending time with their younger sibling, Anarchy.

Nin (Nuin) Elderfang The Owl House
They/It | Cat-Dragon Witch, Eclectic Nightmare

A wild witch that grew up in the woods with a questionable guardian. It kind of missed out on a lot of the chaos imposed by Emperor Belos thanks to protection and concealment spells cast by its family.
When they got older, they had to confront a lot of bureaucratic attempts to restrict or outright strip them of their abilities.
Not very surprising then, that Nin eventually made a connection with like-minded witches, Eda Clawthorn and Raine Whispers.

Ash Pokemon
Them/Them | Pokemon Care Taker, Friendship Fosterer

Other names I've given this particular self-insert have been Roxy, Ashley, and Ashton.I've told stories starting from Johto going through Kanto, swinging by Hoenn, chilling in Kalos, checking out the Alola region and, most recently, hitting up the Max Raids in the Galar region.
Aside from the experiences of the games themselves, this character helps out with local Pokemon Care and Therapy centers. One of their main companions is Dragonite, who they've had since they were little. They have a huge fondness for any Pokemon that evolves with friendship.

Em (Emerald) Steven Universe
They/It/Gem/Em | Runaway Gem, Kaiju Part 2

An emerald that was told they were a diamond - and forced to be what they are not.
Created by an ancient gem with a grudge against Homeworld and a steadily accumulated army of "imperfect green diamonds" (variety of emeralds), Em was brought up believing in a very twisted reality. They were born to appease their "Diamond"; another, older emerald obsessed with power and control. Em eventually escaped to Earth, where they had heard some gems had found refuge. They've been living with humans in a small village and trying to unlearn harmful ideas along the way.
